Syed Mustafa Siraj’s Mayamridango now on stage
Syed Mustafa Siraj’s Mayamridango, which was earlier turned into a film by Raja Sen with Rituparna Sengupta in the lead, is now performed regularly on stage by Dum Dum Shabdomugdho Naatyokendra. The next performance is on August 12 at Rabindra Bhavan. Directed by Rakesh Ghosh, it deals with an artiste who, driven by illusion, loses interest in his family. He is misunderstood by the society.
