When the Mangeshkars came together for a book launch

It’s always news when the Mangeshkar family have an announcement to make and this one would be just what bibliophiles and fans of Lata Mangeshkar love. Her sister Meena Mangeshkar-Khadikar penned a book on the songstress called ‘Mothi Tichi Savli’, which was announced at a press conference at the family residence in Prabhu Kunj, Peddar Road. Meena spoke about the book and her sister and people would connect with it.The book, based on the life of Lata Mangeshkar, aims to bring to the readers, interesting anecdotes from her life.

Several known names and family members were present at the function, including Lata Mangeshkar’s brother and veteran music director Hridaynath Mangeshkar and his son Adinath Mangeshkar, singer Usha Mangeshkar, playback singer Meena Mangeshkar-Khadikar, Avinash Prabhavalkar and Appa Parchure.
Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, also known as The Nightingale of India, is the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema. Apart from getting the highest civilian award of India, she has also received the highest French decoration, The Legion of Honour.
It was announced that the official unveiling of the book will take place on September 28, at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi.
