Sharing her thoughts about how the world tries to put a definition to individuals, Koral believes that she wants to have her own definition rather than letting the world decide for herself. "The world always tries to put a definition for you. All my well-wishers always tell me that I should specialise in one particular thing. But I don't restrict myself to a definition. I love doing a lot of things, I love multiple art forms, so there are too many things that I wanted to do. Since I couldn't do a lot, so when I decided to become an author, I wrote about all the things that I wanted to do. Like, I wanted to be a sculptor at one point, but due to medical issues, I couldn't, so my first book explored the life of a sculptor. I also wanted to become a Bharatanatyam dancer but the calling came much later, so another book of mine explored the life of Bharatanatyam dancers. So, I have just been doing anything and everything that pleases me rather sticking to a definition," says Koral Das Gupta.

Koral’s interesting approach towards life and her love for art and literature touched many hearts, at the virtual session of Write Circle. Talking about the session, Mr Harkaran Singh, General Manager,
