In a powerful new collaboration, Sunny Leone is set to star in Kam Sharma’s upcoming film, War Zone: A Lost Cry — a gripping humanitarian drama that delves into the emotional toll of war on children and the moral dilemmas faced by peacekeepers.
Currently in production in New Zealand, the film centres on a 3-year-old child lost amidst the chaos of conflict, and a multinational UN peacekeeping unit torn between protocol and compassion. Sunny Leone portrays a commanding UN officer leading the mission. Speaking about the project, she said, “I am happy and truly honoured to be part of a film that carries such a powerful social message and humanitarian purpose. Most of us live in our own safe bubbles, far from the harsh realities of war. We rarely witness the suffering of its victims first-hand — and from the comfort of our homes, it’s hard to truly grasp their pain. I hope this movie opens hearts and sparks meaningful conversations.”
Directed by Kam Sharma, whose previous work has garnered 21 international awards for screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and sound design, the film aims to shed light on the forgotten voices of war. Kam Sharma stated, “This is not just a film — it’s a voice for the forgotten. It’s a visual cry for the lost innocence of children who don’t even know whose side they’re on, or why war changed their lives forever.”
