Raha Kapoor is the apple of her parents Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's eyes and the couple often talks about her in their interviews. The 2-year-old is already a huge social media star and fans can't stop swooning whenever she is spotted with her doting parents. Her mother, Alia, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming action thriller Jigra, had a candid chat with Jr NTR and Karan Johar, where she shared an interesting story about her daughter Raha.
Alia recalled a visit to Jr NTR’s house when she was pregnant. Alia and Ranbir were in Hyderabad promoting Brahmastra: Part 1 when Jr NTR invited them for dinner. During the evening, they started discussing baby names. Alia said, “Ranbir and I were like, ‘If it’s a girl, it’ll be this, if it’s a boy, it’ll be that.’” Jr NTR loved the name 'Raha' so much that he hoped they would choose it if they had a daughter.
Alia also revealed that Raha’s name was chosen by her dadi, Neetu Kapoor. The name has beautiful meanings in different languages: in Swahili, it means joy; in Sanskrit, it means clan; in Bengali, it means rest and comfort; and in Arabic, it represents peace, happiness, and freedom.
Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in April 2022, and on November 6, they welcomed their baby girl, Raha Kapoor.
