Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic emotional drama movie ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ is all set for it’s re-release on November 15, Friday and recently the fitness coach Dheepesh Bhatt aka Shivohaam who played the character Frankie Ramdayal shared his awe at his role in the movie getting immense popularity. He also said that Preity Zinta took him and Saif Ali Khan for partying.

Talking to News18, Dheepesh Bhatt expressed his wonder at why and how his character Frankie got popular. He even mentioned that his cousin messaged him a few years back, telling him that there is even a fan page for his character in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’.

“I still don’t understand how Frankie Ramdayal went on to become so big! My wife and I still wonder what was so special about Frankie. I still can’t see it,” said Dheepesh during the interview.




‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’s Frankie further said that he wonders how people still recognize him with his tattoos and beard. Expressing his excitement as one of the popular movie website termed his character one of the most ‘Iconic’ ones, Dheepesh said that he never anticipated for this to happen.

Taking a trip down the memory lane, Dheepesh said that he got roped in for the SRK starrer while he was in Jai Hind College, Bombay during his modelling days.


After giving three rounds of auditions the casting director Puneet Malhotra told him that acting was not his forte - a fact that Dheepesh was also aware of. Dheepesh said that he never had to ‘Act’ in the movie and just had to be himself.
