KL Rahul missed Delhi Capitals' first game to join wife Athiya Shetty and newborn in Mumbai

Athiya Shetty stole the internet by announcing the arrival of her first child with KL Rahul, and pictures of the cricketer surfaced online, showing him leaving Visakhapatnam and jetting off to Mumbai to see his little bundle of joy.

Rahul missed Delhi Capitals' first game against Lucknow Super Giants at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium today ( March 24). He was seen rushing to the airport in recent pictures shared by paparazzi. He looked serious and eager to meet his newborn and wife, Athiya. He was wearing a white T-shirt paired with blue joggers and completed his look with a cap and blue shoes.

According to reports from Cricbuzz, Rahul flew back on Sunday (March 23) night after learning that Athiya had been admitted to hospital. He is expected to rejoin Delhi Capitals for their next match against SunRisers Hyderabad on March 30.
