Mushtaq Khan reveals untold story from Salman Khan’s dating days, 'Salman came to Dubai hotel during Welcome shoot'

Salman Khan and Sangeeta Bijlani had a well-known relationship that started in the late 1980s after they met during a TV commercial shoot. They were together for almost eight years and even planned to get married in 1994, as per the report. However, their wedding was called off just a month before the big day. Despite this, the duo have stayed on good terms over the years. Recently, in an interview, Mushtaq Khan shared some interesting anecdotes from Salman’s dating years, including whether the superstar used to visit his girlfriends on film sets.

When asked if Sangeeta Bijlani ever visited Salman Khan on set or vice versa, Mushtaq Khan told Filmy Mantra, "Iss tarah ki baatein humne kabhi kari bhi nahi aur kabhi poochha bhi nahi. I have never seen Sangeeta ji come to the set to meet him, but once, when we were shooting the film 'Welcome' in Dubai, Salman came to the hotel there."
For those unaware, Katrina Kaif played the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar, alongside Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, in Anees Bazmee's Welcome, which was released in 2007. Salman and Katrina were in a relationship for four years before parting ways in 2009.

He also recalled how Salman's father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, once approached him during the early days of Salman’s career, saying, “Salim Khan mujhe kehte the Salman Khan ko theatre mein kaam dilwao, thoda open up hoga, acting seekhega (Salim Khan used to tell me, 'Get Salman some work in theatre. It will help him open up a bit and learn acting.').”
Mushtaq Khan began his career in the 1980s and gained recognition through movies like 'Welcome', 'Hera Pheri', 'Jodi No.1', and 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke'. He is appreciated for his comedic timing and character roles.
