Having completed shooting for two seasons of Zindagi's 'Bhaage Re Mann' and awaiting release of his debut film 'Parched', actor Chandan K Anand decided to try his hands behind the lens. 'I have always been charmed by the idea of making a film. Though I have no intentions of becoming a full time director. I love acting too much to do that, I wanted to try my hands at producing and directing a film.'
The actor-director is shooting a short during the ongoing Ganpati festival.
The film revolves around a kid name Ganu who was born on the first day of Ganpati and how he is fascinated by Ganpati festival. 'After his parents death, Ganu wished to bring Ganpati home but he's too poor to afford an idol and the film talks about his journey to make this dream true, his devotion and how in his simplistic innocent heart, it pains him to see parts of his beloved God floating around the sea and what he decides to do.'
Chandan says its always fun to try something new between projects. As an actor he has been working on bringing life to his director's vision so it was interesting to do the reverse process with his actors, specially kids who play an important part in the film.
