A month after their intimate wedding, Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee have finally released their wedding video, capturing blissful moments and a heartfelt tribute to Prateik’s late mother, Smita Patil.
Prateik and Priya tied the knot on February 14, 2025, at Smita Patil’s Mumbai home, Rock Cliff, in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends. Notably, Prateik’s father, Raj Babbar, and his half-siblings, Aarya Babbar and Juhi Babbar, were absent from the celebration.
In the wedding video, Prateik reveals a special connection to their wedding venue, saying, “We had a dream about my mum. I think my mum told her that we need to get married in that house, in the house we live in. That house is blessed by my mother and my grandparents." He further expresses his deep bond with Priya, adding, “This is not our first time we’re getting married. It’s not the first time we met. It’s not the first time… I belong to her, and we belong to each other. This is not the first time."
The video opens with a touching moment where Prateik serenades Priya with "Can’t Help Falling in Love with You," a song she later sings during their mehendi ceremony. Their wedding festivities also featured a pyjama party and a joyful mehendi function. At one point, Priya playfully blesses Prateik, saying, “Sada suhaagan raho," which leaves the guests in splits. Teasing him further, she asks, “Are you ready to handle me for the rest of your life?"

Speaking to Vogue India, Prateik shared the significance of choosing his mother’s home for their wedding, saying, “We desired a ‘ghar ki shaadi’, and getting married to the love of my life here—the first house that my mom bought and my home—was the best way to honour her in spirit."

Before Priya Banerjee, Prateik was married to Sanya Sagar. The duo tied the knot in 2019 but parted ways in 2023.
