Rakesh Roshan has finally spilled the tea on the highly-anticipated 'Krrish 4' film and shared the reason for its decade-long delay.
After news broke that the fourth part of the franchise will go on floors in 2025, Rakesh in his latest interview, confirmed, “Krrish 4 will happen soon, for sure." Speaking to Movie Talkies, Roshan Sr revealed that the project that will see his son Hrithik Roshan back in the black trenchcoat as the superhero, was delayed due to its 'high budget'.
“The film demands a large scale and a significant budget. If we try to cut costs, the storyline will suffer," he told the portal. The director shared that as he didn't want to compromise on the scale of the movie, he wanted to get the budget right before he proceeded with shoot.
The Krrish series, which began with the 2003 blockbuster 'Koi Mil Gaya', followed by 'Krrish' in 2006. This highly awaited instalment will come over a decade after the release of 'Krrish 3' in 2013.

Amid growing buzz around the film and speculation about the possible plot and characters, rumours doing the rounds hint at a fan-favourite character - Jaadoo, the beloved blue alien from 'Koi Mil Gaya', returning for this film. Addressing the buzz, Rakesh clarified, “No, no, I am not going to reveal anything. Our script is ready, and I am very happy with it, but don’t believe any rumours. We’ll start once everything is in place.”
'Krrish 4' remains one of Bollywood’s most eagerly awaited projects. Reports have confirmed that Hrithik will begin work on the ambitious project after completing the shoot of Ayan Mukerji's 'WAR 2', where he stars alongside South superstar Jr NTR. With the final schedule reportedly planned for April 2025, it was reported that Hrithik will then move on to shoot for the superhero movie and reunite with director Karan Malhotra, who previously collaborated with him on the 2012 hit 'Agneepath'.
