Initially set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the project later went to Siddharth Anand. The action-packed film is scheduled for release in 2026.
After King, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to begin work on Pathaan 2, reportedly starting in early 2026. According to a source, the script is finalized, and Yash Raj Films (YRF) is finalizing the director. Siddharth Anand, who helmed Pathaan (2023), is unlikely to return.
