Nargis Fakhri made her big Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali's 'Rockstar' with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. In a throwback interview, the actress recalled sharing a warm relationship with Rnabir's mom Neetu Kapoor during the shoot.

Destiny Led Her to Rockstar
In a 2021 interview with ETimes, Nargis Fakhri revealed how she landed the role in Rockstar. She shared that it all started with an email inviting her for an audition, something she believes was purely destiny. At the time, she wasn’t living in India and had never even visited the country. Reportedly, director Imtiaz Ali spotted her in a jewelry campaign ad that she had shot while residing in Greece. He then obtained her details through the company, leading to her casting in the film.

First Time Facing the Camera
Recalling her first experience facing the camera, Nargis mentioned that it felt quite natural due to her modeling background and extensive work in TV commercials before entering films. She credited Imtiaz Ali for making the process even smoother, describing him as a director who knows how to create a comfortable environment for his actors.
