Writer Hussain Dalal reacts to Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor's 'Brahmastra' dialogues getting trolled - Exclusive
While Hussain Dalal is in the news for his recent work as an actor in 'Salesman of the year' on OTT, he's been a dialogue writer for many movies like 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', 'Saaho', and 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' recently.
Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' is one of the highest grossers of 2022 and the film made over Rs 250 crore at the box-office, but it got brutally trolled and criticised for its dialogues. Not to mention, it sparked a meme fest. When ETimes spoke to writer Hussain Dalal, he reacted to all the trolling. "I'm grateful that I have work. I didn't grow up in a world believing I'm entitled to any success, fame, fortune, work or anything. I worked my way up so, I'm very grateful, that,
agar log gaali de rahe hai toh atleast dekh ke gaali de rahe hain, toh main bohot khush hoon ke unhone waqt nikala aur dekha. Unki gaaliyon ko bhi main gale lagaana chahta hoon aur unke praise ko bhi gale lagaana chahta hoon (If people are trolling it and criticising the film, it means that they've seen it. I'm just happy that they've seen it. So, I want to embrace their criticism as well as praises)," he said.
Dalal further added, "Nobody learns everything and comes (into this world). There was a lot of trolling, people made a lot of fun, they made memes also, but people saw it. If there's food at home and work, then I'll always be grateful."
