The trailer of 'Garuda Gamana Vrishbha Vahana' has been immensely impressive. Led by Raj B Shetty, the film promises a visceral portrait of human bravado in the modern gangster world of Mangaluru. While Raj, along with
Rishab Shetty, stars as the lead, the film also offers a plethora of exciting characters played by equally credible actors. One such gripping character is portrayed by the very talented
Gopalkrishna Deshpande who shines bright in the trailer as the enigmatic, emotionally charged cop.
While his role boasts of many charms, Gopal Deshpande is particularly impressed with how director
Raj B. Shetty conceived it with a unique process and created a conducive atmosphere for all actors to deliver their bests.
"I play a police inspector who's stuck in a crisis, of sorts, in the story and his arc sees him dealing with that crisis in certain specific ways. The film is obviously set in a violent world but my character has an emotional core to it - the man is sensitive, good-natured but he is in a spot of bother that needs to be dealt with immediately," shares Gopalkrishna Deshpande about his character in the film.

As far as the performances are concerned, Gopal Deshpande adds that the entire credit needs to go to Raj B. Shetty who, unlike most other filmmakers, has a unique approach to direction. "I had first met Raj while shooting for 'Mahira' a couple of years and our interactions post that had been fairly minimal. However, I got a call from him a few months ago regarding 'Garuda Gamana...' and Raj was keen on trying out a couple of rehearsals before things materialized. He was also honest, saying that if he feels that I don't fit the role, he will be upfront and tell me right away. That honesty was liberating for me and once I was brought on-board, it only got more and more exciting. Every time we got an opportunity, there were discussions about the role, understanding the psychology and behaviour - rather than doing a script reading and learning your lines, this process is a lot more engaging and fruitful."

"Even though I shot only for 7 days, I was asked to reach Mangaluru (shooting location) a couple of days earlier so that I can absorb the atmosphere and get to know the rest of the cast beforehand. And during the shoot, the atmosphere was so comforting and easy that you feel free to express yourself as an actor. At the end of it all, it was a very rewarding and memorable experience for me as an actor; the character might be difficult to play but with the right kind of writing and a credible director, you can pull off anything," adds Gopal Deshpande.
