#MeToo inspires Pooja Devariya's Inktober pictures
It's
Inktober
, a month where people across the world sketch a different picture everyday and upload it on social media. Actress
Pooja Devariya has taken up the challenge, and in light of the recent
#MeToo
revelations, her
sketches
have been reflecting her thoughts on the subject.
This is her latest sketch, titled
Exhausted
:
And this is the caption she uploaded along with the sketch:
I'm exhausted of telling you to stop,
Telling you I'm not interested,
Telling you NO,
Telling you to go.
.
I'm exhausted of you not taking no for an answer
Of you feeding your ego instead of your stomach
Of you thinking with your dick instead of your brain.
.
I'm exhausted of hearing stories on the internet,
Of people pretending to be woke
Of questions being asked, "So men who are woke, how are you going to help us victims?"
.
I'm exhausted that through all the trauma you throw at me, I still have to get to work, not show my frustration, swallow my pain, be nice to my peers even through the anxiety just to earn my two meals a day.
.
Im exhausted of fighting this battle.
