Ramesh Bhat honoured with Abhinaya Baragava Dr Vishnuvardhan Award

Kannada actor Ramesh Bhat was conferred with the Abhinaya Bhargava Dr Vishnuvardhan award for his contribution to Kannada cinema. Transport minister DC Thammanna presented the award at the Kannada Sahitya Parishat auditorium in Chamarajpet.

At the event, Ramesh Bhat said, "Even though I came to become a hero, senior director Bhargava gave me a chance in ‘Jeevanloka’ which changed my life.

Vishnu and I have been friends from high school.”
"I think this award has been given to me because I did many movies with Vishnu. It was always a pleasure to work with him and his memories still live on," he added.
Abhinaya Baragava Dr Vishnuvardhan Award was previously awarded to SP Balasubramaniam, Rebel Star Ambareesh, senior actress Leelavathi, and director Girish Kasaravalli.
