After a glorious national award victory,
Sagar Puranik’s
Dolluis gearing up for its theatrical release on August 26. In the lead-up to the release, team Dollu has released the first single from the film’s soundtrack.
Titled Mayanagari, the video song showcases the protagonist’s amazement at experiencing the bustling city of Bengaluru for the very first time. The video shows the the character trying to take in the charm of the city with its tall buildings, crowded streets, and points of heritage.
The song has been composed by Ananth Kumar M.
with director
Sagar Puranik himself singing the song and Pradyumna Narahalli penning the lyrics. The song was released on August 16 by actor Dhananjaya.
Dollu, which revolves around a traditional dance form, won the Best Regional Film Award in the Kannada category and for audiography. The film features
Nidhi Hegde and Karthik Mahesh in lead roles.
About winning the award, Sagar, in an earlier interview had said, “We have been winning awards at several international film festivals, but a National Film Awards is like climbing Mt Everest, a pinnacle.
