Antony Varghese starts shooting for his next ‘Poovan’

Mollywood actor Antony Varghese will be seen playing the lead role in the upcoming movie ‘Poovan’. The actor recently joined the sets of the film and the news was announced by Antony Varghese Pepe via his official Instagram handle.

The ‘Angamaly Diaries’ actor shared a picture of him holding the clapboard of ‘Poovan’ via his official Instagram handle and penned a note that read, “ ‘Poovan’ movie Shoot in progress.” It was recently that the actor announced the title of his next Vineeth Vasudevan directorial film via his official social media handles.

The director of ‘Poovan’, Vineeth Vasudevan has also played a notable role in the recently released Gireesh AD’s directorial film ‘Super Sharanya’ as the character named Ajith Menon. Surprisingly, Antony Varghese Pepe also played a cameo role in ‘Super Sharanya’.

According to the sources, ‘Poovan’ deals with a socially relevant issue with some essence of humor in it. The scriptwriter Varun Dhara has also played major roles in the films ‘Super Sharanya’, ‘Ajagajantharam’, ‘Thanneermathan Dinangal’, and a couple of short films.
‘Poovan’ is backed by the production house of Shebin Backer and Girish AD and the script of the film is penned down by the writer Varun Dhara. Sajith Purushan will crank the lens for ‘Poovan’ and Akash Joseph Varghese will handle the cuts of the film. Midhun Mukundan is roped in as the music composer for Vineeth Vasudevan’s directorial film.
Apart from Antony Varghese, ‘Poovan’ also has an ensemble cast that includes Maniyan Pillai Raju, Kalabhavan Prajod, Varun Dara, Vineeth Viswam, Vineeth Chakyar, and Sajin Cherukayil.
