Rima in her Facebook post, shared the photo of the Times of India interview with Renji Panicker, in which the veteran script writer, director and actor has denounced his own scripts that were gender and caste insensitive.

Rima in her post says that this is a new beginning , to unlearn what is being injected over the years and wrote that all art needs to be scrutinized over and over again with time.

It takes immense courage to unlearn what you have been told all along and to bring about a new perspective. Kudos and cheers to Renji Panicker.
And yes, like he said, all art will be scrutinised again and again in history. All art reflects the the times we live in. Lets make art that stands the test of time. Lets make art that will be revered by generations to come.

Renji Panicker, in the interview given to the Times of India, has said that he regrets writing gender and caste insensitive dialogues which were once popular among masses and are now being criticised by the same people who once enjoyed it.
