The names of those at the top of this game never appears anywhere. I have worked on this intriguing aspect of the business. I got the idea for the story from the sporadic articles I keep reading in the newspapers. I tried getting details of how people in this business transport the drug to various places. The carriers often transport it in small quantities by bus or train, unlike how it is shown in the movies.”
He adds, “Sometimes people with whom we converse while travelling may be a carrier, but we may not know that. Do you know, Chennai has become the hub of cocaine business in the recent times? Goa tops only in terms of substance abuse.”
“There are multiple gangs in the movie, which has a bevy of artistes like Ashok, Velu Prabhakaran, Aadukalam Naren, Daniel Balaji and Bagavathi Perumal, among others, continues Kumar, “Sai Priyanka Ruth, who has been playing the sidekick in movies till now is the female lead in this project, and I have tried to showcase several things from a woman’s point of view. Her action scenes would be one of the highlights of the film.”
Hari and Shyamalangan have composed music for the project which has cinematography by Karthi K Thillai and action choreography by Hari Dinesh.
