He revealed that when he was in the U.S. recovering from surgery, Kamal Haasan had called him and his words deeply moved him. "I cried when he spoke to me, and I will never forget what he said," Shiv Rajkumar mentioned.

In a touching tribute to Kamal Haasan, he added, “If I were born a woman, I would certainly marry him. I’ve said this many times before. When I met him in person, I asked if I could hold him, and he agreed. After that, I didn’t bathe for three days because I wanted to hold on to his energy.” His admiration for Kamal Haasan was clear as he expressed his unwavering fandom for the legendary actor.
