After making a mark with her dancing and acting prowess in song videos like Asku Maaro and movies, including Enna Solla Pogirai, Teju Ashwini is all set to start work on her next. She will be playing the female lead in Mu Maran’s Blackmail, which co-stars GV Prakash.
The filmmaker tells us, “We were looking for someone who would fit the girl-next-door image and has that nativity and simplicity in their appearance, and Teju Ashwini fit the bill perfectly. She plays a girl who works in a medical shop. She will start shooting for her portions from today.”
Maran, who made his debut with the mystery thriller Iravukku Aayiram Kangal and has also completed Kannai Nambathey with Udhayanidhi Stalin, had earlier informed us that his film with GV Prakash will be a suspense drama, infused with black comedy. The team started shooting on November 28 in Chennai. “We have completed about 10 days of filming. We will be heading to Coimbatore for our next schedule,” he signs off.
