After Dinosaurs, Udhay Karthik, nephew of actress Sridevi, will next feature in Family Padam. The film is directed by debutant Selva and features Subiksha Kayarohanam as the female lead.
About the film, director Selva tells us, “We wanted to make a family entertainer with humour and emotions. The film revolves around three brothers born and brought up in Chennai who face failures in their professional lives. How they keep their bond intact and rebuild their careers is what the film is about.”
“Vivek Prasanna plays the elder brother. The middle brother’s role is played by debutant Parthiban. Udhay Karthik plays the younger brother,” he adds.
The director also informs us that the three brothers will have equal importance in the story, and that's why the film has not been titled after one particular character. “The family is the hero of this film. That's why we have named it thusly,” Selva shares. Meyyendiran, who was the cinematographer for K.D. and Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal, has been roped in for the project.
