Vijay's recent release 'GOAT' turned out to be a huge hit, and the commercial entertainer went unstoppable in Tamil Nadu. Now, Vijay has celebrated the box office success of 'GOAT', and he joined the film's producer and distributor for a cake cutting. 'GOAT' earned a 100 crore share in Tamil Nadu, and the makers expressed their gratitude to Vijay for the film's success. 'GOAT' is now Vijay's second 100 crore share in Tamil Nadu following Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial 'Leo', and he is the only actor to achieve the feat. Vijay was seen in his new look for 'Thalapathy 69' as he had already begun shooting for his film with director H Vinoth.
A few days back, the makers of 'GOAT' officially confirmed the film's box office numbers, and accordingly, it grossed around Rs 460 crore worldwide to complete its fourth week of theatrical run. In Tamil Nadu, 'GOAT' grossed around Rs 215 crore, and it ended as the third highest grosser in the state after 'Leo' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 1'. 'GOAT' is now streaming on a popular digital platform in multiple languages; despite the digital release, Vijay's film is still running on some of the screens in Tamil Nadu.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, 'GOAT' aka 'The Greatest Of All Time' is an action entertainer, and Vijay played a dual role in the film that conveys the battle between his characters. The multi-starrer drama had several popular faces in crucial roles, while the film's music was scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
