“We wanted Yesudas sir for the climax song of this film. It is like a motivational song and reflects the state of the titular character,” says Krishna. Since the veteran singer is living in the US these days, the team wasn’t sure if they could get him to agree to sing in their film. “We managed to reach out to him and sent him the lyrics, which are deep and very suitable for the film’s situation. He agreed to sing for us and recorded this song remotely,” reveals the director.

Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who scored the music for Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, has composed this song, titled Yaar Seidha Paavamo, which has lyrics by Karthik Netha.

Talking about the film, he says, “Jothi is an emotion-based investigation thriller revolving around crimes against children and women. The story is set in Cuddalore and is based on real-life incidents that happened in Cuddalore and Telangana.”
