Melanie Kannokada's tryst with American TV industry

Remember Melanie Kannokada? The actress had played one of the lead roles in D for Dopidi, who also had Sundeep Kishan and Varun Sandesh in lead roles and she was paired opposite Varun Sandesh in the film. Of late, the actress has been slowly, but surely making all the right moves back in the US. Last year, Melaine had acted in a HBO series, The Brink which also has Jack Black and Tim Robbins in the lead roles.And recently, she bagged another plum role in an upcoming CBS drama pilot titled Code Black. Set in the LA County Hospital, the series focuses on the hospital's staff which has to confront a broken system in order to protect their ideals and the patients who need them the most. Melanie Kannokada will reportedly play the role of Malaya, a doctor who just starts her residency at the hospital.
