A Telugu remake of a Malayalam hit ‘Butta Bomma’ to release in Malayalam

Though remaking a successful film from one language to the other is not a new thing, releasing the remade version into the original language is something that’ll make heads turn.
Yes, we talking about ‘Butta Bomma’ which can be the right example to explain this. The film is an official remake of a superhit 2020 social drama Malayalam film ‘Kappela’ that starred Anna Ben in the lead role.The film also marked the Telugu debuts of Anikha Surendran, Surya Vasishta and Arjun Das. But, the Telugu remake of this hit Malayalam film didn’t do well in Telugu states theatrically.
The movie also has its online premiere on March 4th, 2023 on an International OTT giant. However, the movie is said to have been dubbed into Malayalam now to have its streaming in Malayalam as well for the Kerala audiences to witness the difference in its storytelling and filmmaking.
The film is directed by Shuree Chandrashekhar T Ramesh in Telugu while its dialogues were written by Ganesh Kumar Ravuri. While its music was composed jointly by Gopi Sundar and Sweekar Agasthi.
