Rana Daggubati's brother, Abhiram, booked for assault. An FIR has been lodged against Rana Daggubatis younger brother, Abhiram, by a civil engineer named Ravi Teja, on Thursday evening at the Banjara Hills police station for wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation and voluntarily causing hurt. Abhiram has not been arrested yet.
Abhiram and Teja, who are neighbours, allegedly entered into a war of words followed by a tussle when Abhiram denied Ravi Teja the permission for a construction that he had undertaken. Ravi, who is a civil engineer by profession, was reportedly in the midst of the construction work. Sources allege Abhiram was drunk at the time. Abhiram objected to the construction, and the duo got into a brawl, following which Ravi lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police.
According to P Murali Krishna, inspector in charge of the Banjara Hills PS, Sections 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been registered against Abhiram. It was a fight that the two Abhiram and Ravi Teja picked up at around 7 pm on Thursday.
