GD is a fun and experimental action thriller: Sudhakar Komakula

Tollywood actor Sudhakar Komakula’s character poster as Vicky from his upcoming film GD (G lo Dhammu, G for Gunde) was released recently.

While the name of the film sure raises eyebrows, Sudhakar hints that the film might belong to the found footage genre that’s a rarity in Indian cinema. Talking to

actor says, “GD will be the story of six friends who get stuck in a village. The challenging part of the film is that most of it is shot inside a car. It’s a fun,

quirky

, experimental action thriller which takes place in the span of a night and shows the issues the friends face. The story states how it’s important to be brave in every kind of difficult situation.”

Sudhakar calls his role a “special one in (his) career”. “Vicky wants to be an army officer but his dream remains unfulfilled due to his family. I play a fierce, angry young man who stands up and fights back in any situation. It was fun shooting for it and once restrictions open up, I look forward to finishing the rest of the film.”

Apart from Sudhakar, GD will see Ali Reza, Ajju Mahakali, Praneeta Patnaik, Sai Krishna K and Rubeena Naaz in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by Ajju Mahakali and further details are awaited.
