‘Peddanna’ is a Telugu dubbed version of Rajinikanth’s Tamil action-drama ‘Annaatthe’. The film has been written and directed by Siva and produced by Sun pictures Head, Kalanithi Maran.
Siva was a cinematographer before turning into a film director. He directed several Telugu and Tamil films.
The film also stars Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, and Keerthy Suresh playing Rajini’s sister in the film whereas, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamoorthy, Soori play other important roles.
The film’s music has been composed by D.Imman, while its cinematography is by Vetri and Ruben has edited the film.
‘Peddanna’ was announced almost 10 years back in October 2011 by the director Siva. Finally, Rajini and Siva collaborated on 11 December 2019 on Rajini’s Birthday and completed its shoot by September 2021. Therefore the film was shot for almost one and a half years due to the prolonged Covid-lockdowns.
The film got released today celebrating the festive fervor of Diwali. The film is also reportedly seeing a huge release in India and abroad with almost 5000+ screens across the globe.
‘Peddanna’ is reportedly a story of a Village president ‘Annaathe’ in the Thanjavur district. Whereas his sister gets married to a person who later shifts his residence to Kolkata, and the rest of the story is all about the problems she faces and how her brother got back her from all those issues.
