1 CRPF jawan dead, 1 police men injured after ambush by armed miscreants in Manipur's Jiribam

NEW DELHI: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was killed in a gun attack by suspected militants at Mongbung village in Manipur's Jiribam district on Sunday. The deceased, identified as a 43-year-old Ajay Kumar Jha from Bihar, succumbed to injuries sustained during the assault. Additionally, a policeman suffered bullet injuries to the head and is currently undergoing treatment, though he is reported to be out of danger, according to police sources.
The attack also resulted in damage to a vehicle belonging to security personnel.Following the incident, additional security forces have been deployed in Mongbung village from adjacent hill areas to enhance security measures.
