National Investigation Agency Tuesday carried out raids at multiple locations across seven states in connection with the case relating to radicalisation of inmates in a Bengaluru prison.
NIA teams searched the premises of several suspects in the case, spread over nearly one-and-a-half dozen locations in
Karnataka,
Tamil Nadu,
Telangana,
Kerala,
Punjab, Gujarat and West Bengal. The recoveries from the raids include 25 mobile phones, six laptops and four storage devices, incriminating documents, cash and currency of multiple foreign nations.
The prison radicalisation case relates to the radicalisation of inmates of Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central prison by a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist.
