NEW DELHI: Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 17 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in the state of Telangana. It comprises seven Assembly segments including Ibrahimpatnam, Munugode, Bhongir, Nakrekal, Thungathurthy, Alair and Jangoan.

Main partiesThe Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in 2019 had won 9 of the 17 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won four seats, Congress 3 and Asaduddin Owaisi was the only AIMIM candidate to emerge victorious from his Hyderabad constituency.
In the 2023 assembly elections Congress won 64 seats, BRS won 39 seats, BJP 8 and AIMIM got 7 seats. CPI won 1 seat.
Lok Sabha 2019 election resultIn the 2019 elections, the Bhongir parliamentary constituency had a total of 1,628,033 eligible voters. Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, representing the Congress, emerged victorious with a total of 532,795 votes. Meanwhile, Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud, the candidate from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, secured second place with 527,576 votes, trailing by a narrow margin of 5,219 votes.
Voting date and resultThe 17 constituencies in Telangana are scheduled to go to poll on May 13 in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 with over 3.17 crore voters eligible to cast their votes.
