Karunanidhi facing ills for opposing Sethu project: VHP

NEW DELHI: A day after the Enforcement Directorate booked M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal, daughter Kanomozhi and former telecom minister A Raja under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the 2G case, Sangh Parivar affiliate Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said the former Tamil Nadu CM is facing the consequences for disrespecting "Lord Ram".
It said all the ills that Karunanidhi and his family members are facing have to do with his favouring destroying of the Ram Sethu and his "derogatory" remarks like "Ram is an imaginary character of a mythical novel" and "From which engineering college did Ram get a degree to build the huge Ram sethu".
"DMK chief M Karunanidhi's family is facing severe consequences for insulting Lord Ram and for trying to destroy the Ram Sethu," said Ram Krishna Srivastava, VHP secretary general. "Karunanidhi should first change his stand on Ram Sethu and head for Ayodhya to apologize for his sins by chanting Vijay Maha mantra Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram" to save his family."
VHP media in-charge Vinod Bansal said, "The five-time CM started losing his position immediately after his adamant attitude to destroy the Ram Sethu and the derogatory remarks that he made about Lord Ram."
