UP: Two children among five dead in Firozabad factory explosion, 11 hospitalised

Five persons, including two children and a woman, were killed due to an explosion at a firecracker godown-cum-factory here, a police official said on Tuesday, adding the explosion caused damage to nearby houses. Eleven persons sustained injuries in the blast, which occurred in the factory located in the Naushera area under the Shikohabad police station limits on Monday night, they said.
On Tuesday, based on the complaint lodged by the son of a deceased woman, a case was registered against Bhoora alias Navi Abdullah, who manufactures and sells firecrackers, and his two sons.

Two Hindu girls have been abducted from their homes in Pakistan's southern Sindh province in recent days, community leaders said and demanded safeguards to stop "frequent kidnappings" and "forced conversions".

Shiva Kachi, a Hindu community leader from Hyderabad, said, "We are getting information about such incidents nearly every week now from different parts of the province and no one seems to care. There is so much fear in the Hindu community now."

Kachi heads the Pakistan Darewar Ittehad, an organisation which is fighting for the recovery of Hindu girls kidnapped, allegedly forcibly converted to Islam and married off to Muslim men who are much older in many instances.

World News Live Updates: Taiwan reports increased Chinese military activity; detects 8 aircraft, 7 naval vessels

The Taiwanese Ministry of National Defence (MND) reported that from Monday morning at 6am until Tuesday morning at the same time, they observed eight Chinese aircraft, seven naval vessels, and two official ships operating in the vicinity of Taiwan's territory. Out of the eight aircraft belonging to the People's Liberation Army (PLA), four breached the median line that runs through the Taiwan Strait.

In response to the situation, Taiwan stated that they have been closely monitoring the activities and have taken appropriate measures to address the matter. The MND shared this information on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

"8 PLA aircraft, 7 PLAN vessels and 2 official ships operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 am (UTC+8) today. 4 of the aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. We have monitored the situation and responded accordingly," the post read.
