Six members of a family, including two women, were killed in an accident in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

SHIMLA: Six members of a family, including two women, were killed in an accident in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
A private car in which the family was travelling skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Sangrah in Backward Shillai area in the district, 200 kms from here.
Five members of the family died on the spot while one person succumbed to injuries on way to Nahan hospital, Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Thakur said today.

The deceased were identified as Jagar Singh, Deep Ram, Bindu Devi, Nomi Devi, Santosh and Gain Singh from Dolna village in Sangrah tehsil.
MLA injured: In another incident, Renuka MLA Hriday Ram was injured when the vehicle in which he was travelling met with an accident last night.
He was returning from his constituency along with his son when the accident took place.
He was rushed to Nahan Hospital from where he was referred to a Chandigarh hospital.
Meanwhile, a woman allegedly committed suicide along with her seven-month-old child by jumping into the Renuka lake.
The woman and the child were rushed to a Dadahu hospital but they died on the way.
