NEW DELHI: A greater representation of women in the workforce is good for a company, society, the community, and the economy in general. This is not something new; economists and sociologists have been saying this in various ways for decades now. The government has acknowledged the need to encourage more women to join the formal labour force. Unfortunately, little has come of all this.
