NEW DELHI: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was discharged from AIIMS on Wednesday after being admitted on Sunday due to uneasiness and chest pain.
In a post on X, VP Dhankhar expressed gratitude towards the medical team of AIIMS.
"Deeply appreciate the exemplary care and professionalism of the medical team at AIIMS, New Delhi, from my admission on March 9 to discharge on March 12. Their dedication and meticulous attention ensured a smooth recovery," he said.

"Grateful for the concern and good wishes from well-wishers across India and beyond. Your thoughtful gestures have been truly heartening," the Vice-President added in the X post.
The 73-year-old was taken to the hospital around 2am and placed in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) under the care of Dr Rajiv Narang, Head of Cardiology at AIIMS. Doctors closely monitored his condition during his stay.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union health minister and BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda visited AIIMS on the same day to check on Dhankhar's health.
Dhankhar, who hails from Rajasthan, has been serving as the Vice President since August 2022.
