Valentine's Day 2025: Tips to glam up yourself on the day of love

Being confident requires looking your best and being the best version of yourself, even if it's simple efforts of making makeup look seem natural and glowing than an over-the-top approach. I feel makeup is best when it's used to enhance one's natural features and look simple yet glam enough to blend with the person's outfit/ match the occasion and personality.

Wilma Andrews, a makeup artist and digital creator shares tips for all you ladies who want to try an effortless yet glam look for Valentine's day.

Based on the kind of Activity:

1. An evening dinner date /Candle light dinner (formal classy)

Dewy glam base, cool tones /metallic eyeshadows/ lipsticks color range from deep reds/burgundy/ browns for a sultry look and outfit. Prefer matte lipstick...highlighter ...bronzer, lashes, blush, mascara, and a classy eyeliner.

2. Club - Bright colors (Bright pink lips, orange/ pinkish/ lip gloss / Bright red/glossy or matt lipstick ....eye shadows - yellow, neon and bright metallic, blush, mascara, lashes of choice, and winged or Graphic liner highlighter.

3. Brunch date - soft glam, matt finish makeup if hot, Pale pink eyeshadow with light nude coloured lipstick pink lips, fresh look, minimalistic no-makeup makeup look, highlighter Dabbs, mascara, blush, subtle lashes and smokey liner of choice.

4. Movie date - concealer, subtle eyeliner of choice, no too-loud lipstick/ lip gloss, subtle highlighter, mascara, blush.

5. Beach date (day)-make up no makeup matt look and subtle colors.

6. Beach date (night) - subtle matt makeup with. Pop of color on the lip, highlighter, mascara.

7. Shopping date- concealer, nude eyeshadow, matt eyeliner of choice, lipstick/ lip gloss, mascara, blush.

8. Gaming and adventure date - matt base, concealer.

9. Travel date - matt makeup, smoked-out look and liner.
