Happy Met Monday to all

Fashion mavens all across the globe are currently judging, yapping, and looking at the regal looks of the Met Gala 2025. One of the most prestigious fashion galas of the year had the theme ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’, inspired by Monica Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Let’s see who all lived up to the fashion expectations and were the best on-theme.

Mona Patel

Keeping this year’s theme in mind, Mona Patel ruled the Met Gala 2025’s carpet in a custom suit along with a statement cape and corseted bodice from American designer Thom Browne. She was accompanied by a special canine companion, Vector- a robotic dog developed at MIT in collaboration with the designer.

Kendall Jenner

Solidifying her corporate core obsession, Kendall Jenner wore a Torishéju Dumi two-piece set dipped in grey hues and took inspiration from Gladys Bentley and the elegance of 1920s Harlem Renaissance women.

Jennie

Jennie’s Chanel couture looked as if she came straight from the sets of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and wore a strapless silk flared gown with thick strands of white pearls hung in front of the dress. It also had a split hemline revealing layers of soft sheen underneath, which further added depth to her overall look.
