Never forget to wear solar filter glasses during the eclipse as it could damage your eyes. And if you wish, make them a little quirky by drawing around the frames, or adding stickers to the sides. This will make sure your eyes are protected and photographs are aesthetic.

Along with your eyes, it is also important to protect your camera lens. So, if you plan to click some pictures of the eclipse, make sure to buy some solar filters and lenses for the camera.

To get the perfect shot of the eclipse, it is important to have a lens that zooms in clearly without pixelating the shot. So, use a telephoto lens of about 200mm and 600mm to get the perfect details of the rings and the dark and light contrasts.

To maintain the perfect balance, and to get the perfect clicks, the camera needs to be stable. And while the human hand could stumble and shake, a tripod will give you perfectly aligned and sharp images.

If you are clicking pictures with your phone camera, or even a proper one, make sure to adjust the ISO settings beforehand. Many people say that it is best to set your camera to a low ISO of about 100 or 200

Once the lens is in and the right settings are applied, now it is time to look for the right spot. Choose a terrace, preferably of a high-rise building, and set your tripod somewhere it won't be disturbed or obstructed by other cameras.

If you wish to take aesthetic pictures of yourself along with the eclipse, make sure you have a camera button in hand or the self-timer mode is set correctly. Once done, wear your solar filter, pose the way you like against the eclipse, and click.

If you are clicking aesthetic pictures of someone else, or a group, make sure to angle them correctly so that they don't cover the sun and the rings that will form.

A solar eclipse isn’t just a single moment but comes in stages. Take photos throughout - be it the distance left between the sun and the moon, when the sun is completely covered, when there is a thin space between the two that looks like a crescent, and more.

One of the most beautiful, aesthetic, and picture-perfect moments of the solar eclipse is the ‘Diamond ring’ when the sun’s light shines around the edge of the moon. Be prepared to capture it as this memory will stay with you forever.
