Double delight for Abhiram Reddy

HYDERABAD: K Abhiram Reddy achieved a grand double in the Hyderabad District Badminton Championship here on Saturday. Abhiram won the boys under-13 singles and doubles titles. In the singles final he got better of his doubles partner B Srikar Reddy in three games 17-21, 21-12, 21-19. Later, the duo outclassed BJ Ram and S Subbu 21-15, 21-17 in the doubles final.
Sravanth Suri won the under-15 singles title defeating Kasula Jayaditya in the final.However, Jayaditya managed to win the doubles title along with Abhinav Krishna. The pair defeated Mohit Kumar and P Himaharsha in straight games 21-10, 21-15.
Meanwhile, M Shashaank Sai, Ashutosh Kumar, Varshith Reddy and Dharan made it to the last four stage in the under-17 category. In the under-19 quarterfinals, Tarun Reddy eased past Yashwanth Ram 21-8, 21-12.
