The long-awaited new series of Netflix’s ‘Drive to Survive’ will serve up another installment of backroom Formula 1 intrigue, with a firecracker insult from Christian Horner. Drive to Survive back on the Formula 1 horizon

The new season is releasing next week, which promises the thrilling F1 2024 campaign which ended in Max Verstappen's fourth consecutive World Championship. Red Bull was third in the Constructors' Championship behind McLaren, who claimed their first team title in 26 years. McLaren and Red Bull's long-standing rivalry continued through the season, with Zak Brown leading the criticism against Verstappen and Red Bull following furious battles.

Horner's candid moment on camera

Although Christian Horner tended to avoid confronting Brown's jibes in public, he made his feelings plain in a behind-the-scenes incident. A moment from the newly released Drive to Survive trailer shows Horner strolling through Red Bull's hospitality suite at the Bahrain Grand Prix, where a microphone records his comment, “Zak is a pr*ck.”

This is due to months of word battles between the two team principals. After the Austrian Grand Prix incident involving Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, Zak Brown criticized Red Bull for using a ‘nasty’ attitude in racing.

“We’re prepared to go toe to toe. Nasty is not how McLaren goes racing,” Brown said in an interview with PlanetF1.com. “But I think you can go toe to toe, but you don’t have to be nasty about it. They seem to, at times, have a win-at-all-costs mentality. That’s not how we go racing. But we think you can go toe to toe and take the fight in our own way.”

On a lighter note, Charles Leclerc admires himself

Monacan motorsports racing driver Charles Leclerc appeared humourous in the exclusive trailer. He admires himself, calling himself ‘perfect’. “We are the Kardashians of Formula 1,” he joked as the drama for this new season unfolds.
