Nobody likes waiting to be selected by someone and World Series Champions are no exceptions to this. With the MLB teams going through a major shuffle in their roster for a better lineup, certain Baseball athletes are looking forward to being selected by the top MLB teams or retained by their teams for the upcoming season.
One of them is former Dodgers pitcher Jack Flaherty. Reportedly, the baseball star revealed that he was approached by the New York Yankees despite his health issues.
Jack Flaherty talks about the issues that are plaguing the Yankees
With the Los Angeles Dodgers taking the lead with the acquisition of one of the most talented baseball players into their roster, the Yankees have maintained a low profile.
During a recent appearance on the Foul Territory podcast, former Dodgers star Jack Flaherty’s revelations on the current state of the New York Yankees have raised eyebrows. The 29-year-old pitcher gave his take on the list of issues that are plaguing the Yankees currently. He said-
“
They had still been trying to make just a different trade. Like, ‘We don’t love the medicals, but we’re still trying to make a trade.’ I was like, ‘Okay, whatever. He further added-
"I’m in LA now.’ And then ending up against them in the World Series was kind of a full circle thing.”
This eye-opening revelation clearly confirmed the objective of Brian Cashman, Yankees manager behind the negotiations, which talks volumes about his lack of interest in investing in a player who has been struggling with injuries for a long time. Based on Flaherty’s statement, the front office of the Yankees suffers from their half-hearted approach as they end up showing interest in the athlete but are not totally into them.
