Back in 2024, Shohei Ohtani underwent arthroscopic surgery due to his left shoulder injury. The 30-year-old hitter has returned for the upcoming spring training but hasn’t fully recovered from it. During a recent interview with the reputed media outlet Los Angeles Times, Shohei Ohtani provided a major update on his shoulder injury. The Dodgers alum said via an interpreter-
“I do feel like there’s some discomfort that I have to still overcome, [but] it’s not really debilitating.”He further mentioned-
“Just a limited range of motion. I’ve gone through it with the elbow before. With the shoulder, it’s a little bit more complicated. I do believe that’s the part that I have to be patient with.”During the interview, Ohtani even mentioned that if the team feels like he should be taking a break with respect to his health concerns, then he would go ahead with that, but if that is not the case, he would want to play as much as possible. Despite his health issues, Shohei Ohtani is desperate to go out on the field in the Dodgers jersey.

According to the shared picture, Ohtani was seen sitting along with the Japanese pitching talent Roki Sasaki and fellow teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Japanese trio were seated next to each other in the blue Dodgers jersey. With record-breaking acquisitions and deals, the Los Angeles Dodgers are leaving no stone unturned in their attempt to win their ninth World Series Championship.
