Shohei Ohtani not only celebrated embracing fatherhood with his wife, Mamiko Tanka, but also the victory of the Dodgers against the Pirates recently. The recent game against the Pittsburgh Pirates brought back the lost spark of the Los Angeles Dodgers during the ongoing 2025 MLB season as they led their way to dominating the Pirates with an overall score of 8-4.
During a post-game interview, the Dodgers’ two-way superstar opened up on his miserable hitting slump against Paul Skenes and company and even admitted that he hasn’t been playing well.

With his tremendous athletic prowess and hard work, Dodgers’ two-way star Shohei Ohtani is one of the biggest icons of the baseball world. Whenever the team of the Los Angeles Dodgers is playing, fans not only get enthralled by the electric environment in the stadium but also expect a series of home runs from the lord of the bat, Ohtani. However, during the recent game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Dodgers two-way star failed to create magic with his bat.
During the post-game interview with Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA, Shohei Ohtani not only spoke about the young pitching star Roki Sasaki but also reflected on his performance. He mentioned, via his interpreter Will Ireton-
"It was a really good start to something that hopefully will be a good streak. I haven’t been playing well, so it was a good night."

The Dodgers got a grip over the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates after being dropped in three games one after the other, and the victory came as the much-needed push for Shohei Ohtani and company. Reportedly, Ohtani failed to strike a home run against the Pirates but somehow managed to secure two doubles and a triple.
Therefore the night belonged to Teoscar Hernandez and Enrique Hernandez, as the Dodgers duo went on to help the team clinch a victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates with an overall score of 8-4. The Los Angeles Dodgers did have the perfect start, but gradually they failed to maintain their winning streak after losing a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
