New York Yankees hint at Aaron Judge taking up the right field

A different battle was going on off the field at the New York Yankees as the management needed to find a replacement for Giancarlo Stanton, who is finally not playing this season due to an elbow injury. Team manager Aaron Boone needed a right fielder to fill Stanton’s shoes and got his eyes fixed on Aaron Judge.

Stanton’s injury mobilized the selection process for the spot from overall prospect no. 2, among which Spence Jones was a strong contender. Manager Boone cleared the air recently in an interview, where he said:

“Right now I'm hitting (Judge) second, just because we're very left-handed, especially with Giancarlo out. In that three-hole, it depends who I lead off. Because I think they all have that.”

Giancarlo Stanton’s elbow injury left fans frustrated earlier

Giancarlo Stanton has been at the receiving end of injuries quite often. Last week, manager Aaron Boone shared an update on Stanton’s tennis elbow injury. His anticipated absence from the action created a furor among the fans who even suggested that player should stop playing.

Aaron Judge was not the only straight choice for the right field. Spencer Jones also came up as overall prospect no. 2 for the position. This right fielder, still to prove his mettle at the Triple-A level, made rounds of discussion because of a fascinating spring season to his credit and noticeable improvement in his batting stance.

But for now, team manager Boone has confirmed his pick and may require more shuffles to handle till a bolstered team becomes ready to take on the new season.
