UFC boss Dana White confirms Ilia Topuria’s claims on potential opponent for next bout at IFW - “That’s pretty accurate”

Ilia Topuria, in a recent interview, revealed the plans for his next bout. The news came as a relief for fans who haven’t seen him in action for the longest period of time, since his last win against Max Holloway at UFC 308. Despite all these, fans had started speculating that the upcoming UFC 315 card will play a major role in deciding the opponents of the fighters who are moving up the weight categories. The upcoming event will witness a title bout between the current welterweight champion Muhammad and contender Jack Della Maddalena. True to the fan theories, Ilia Topuria in a recent interview with El Hormiguero, revealed that the winner of the title bout at UFC 315 would determine the next opponent for the El Matador. According to the fighter, if Muhammad retains the title, it would be Makhachev that Topuria would be facing next and if Jack wins the bout, it would be Charles Oliveira, the next top contender within the lightweight division, who would be facing the former featherweight champion at the International Fight Week.The accountability of the fighter’s statement has been affirmed by the UFC CEO Dana White at the pre-fight press conference for UFC 315.
