Remaining Pak players also seek NOC from ICL

KARACHI: The remaining 22 Pakistani players in the unauthorised ICL will soon submit their resignations and seek NOCs from the organisers of League, which has an uncertain future.
Hasan Raza, one of the 22 cricketers still contracted with the ICL, said former Pakistan captain Moin Khan who initially negotiated the contracts for them with the ICL would be sending a notice to the ICL organisers to release the players so that they can seek their future elsewhere.
"I think till the ICL lasted it worked for us and we benefited from it financially. But now it is time to move on for us. After all, we still have a chance of representing our national team and domestic teams again," Raza said.
"We have still not received some dues from the ICL for the last few months and the League future is also uncertain."
Raza said a total of 27 players from Pakistan had signed up with the ICL since 2007 but only five of them -- Rana Naved, Imran Nazir, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq and Imran Farhat -- had submitted their resignations and got NOC's from the league organisers.
Except for Farhat the rest have all been selected again for the national team. "While we all remain in a state of limbo not knowing what is going to happen with the ICL and also our dues," said the stylish batsman who holds the record for being the youngest ever player to play Test cricket.
